I prefer not to use multiple credit cards at the same time. However, there is no necessity for that.
Besides, in this case you increase your chance to have more troubles with your credit cards. But the main problem you can come across is bad credit history. The more credit cards you use in daily life, the more you can lose your reputation among banks if you cannot pay your debt. And that can badly reduce your chance to get a loan.
