I was using Tri-state insurance and what a pain in the butt they were to work with. Every single year they wanted miles, registration, inspection info...very annoying to dig that up.

This year i tried Geico and i save about 300.00 off my policy! I saw the commericals and thought it was just advertising but wow i was really surprised. They process is sooo easy to get a quote and purchase it online. No other hassles involved they mail you the cards and give you an email with the information you need. I would recomend them!

I've had a policy through Progressive for a few years now, and have been very happy with them. Because my roommates and I are all on the same policy, we get a multi-car discount. The prices are great, and they have always been super helpful whenever I've needed to make changes to the policy. Their reps have even sat no the line with me for good chunks of time giving me different quotes for different limits, etc, on the policy. Good customer service is an increasingly difficult trait to find!

My runner-up recommendation would be Mutual Life, but only if you can work directly with the company without having to go through an agent. When I was insured with them, they stopped processing day to day changes directly, and forced me to work through an agent who was rude, woudl not return calls, and who repeatedly failed to send paperwork when I asked. I had never had these problems dealing directly with the company, though, so maybe your luck would hold, too. (Sorry if that's not a ringing endorsement, lol, but I thought I'd through it out there just for information's sake.)

I'm with State Farm now and have been since getting married. We used to get all sorts of discounts, but that seems to be getting culled lately.

I use my county Farm Bureau. I don't know if they have this in all areas. They saved me over a hundred dollars over all of the other insurance companies, Progressive, Geico, State Farm, etc. Plus, I get other perks from them as well. I get travel discounts, a discount on my cell phone, eye glasses and lots of others. They also have a health insurance program.

We used to have Gmac or something like that. Their customer service was really bad. So we switched to Geico and we love them!! They have great rates. For our minivan it is only 120 dollars a month for 5 months I think and thats full coverage with a 250 deductible. It was like 90 dollars a month but my hubby got a ticket and it went up. I hear that Allstate has good rates too

I have Erie Insurance and am very happy with them - they are very highly rated by JD Power and Associated and their rates were as low as Geico's. Keep in mind that your credit report will be a factor in how much you pay for insurance. I would call Allstate, Geico, and maybe one other company in your area and see what they can offer.

The best way to find cheap insurance is through site comparing sites, I found that swift car insurance was the cheapest, but things vary for different people. Age, engine size, car value will change the price of your insurance.
