Do I need to hire a lawyer?

Will I need to hire a lawyer to file and are there any other associated costs of filing for bankruptcy? I see cost has already been asked about but no answer.. does anyone have any help for us???

I guess u need a lawyer to file bankruptcy.. and there are some costs attached to it but you really need to see a lawyer at the earliest.

You can also go to a bankruptcy trustee which is much cheaper, they will all have fees regardless. They act on your behalf as well. Just check the yellow pages

You can set up a payment plan with your lawyer, they will be fully aware of your finances so won't have a problem doing that. I think the fee is usually only around $200 so it wont take long to pay off.
