Exclamation Need help with D&B rating!!!!! HELP ME PLEASE!!!

My company bought the "CreditBuilder" from D&B and got assigned a duns number in august of this year. We assumed (after paying $500) that all we had to do was continue "business as usual" and our business credit rating would improve. We buy everything on business credit cards (pay bill on time) and have a business line of credit.

We went to one of our suppliers to ask if we could buy on net terms. He checked our D&B rating and...laughed . He said our D&B report shows no business activity (and that, my friends, makes for a very bad rating.)

What went wrong??? I contacted D&B and they haven't got back to me yet. Can anyone help me??? Is there something we should be doing on our end that we aren't...did we skip a very important step along the way???

Forgive me for my ignorance...we are a newly formed corporation...and apparently we don't have a clue. Any help of any kind would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

D&B Rating

Establish business credit for your new business with D&B

Did you try this location on the D&B site? Or you should be able to call 1-877-753-1444 to get help.

They just verify your business with that

This is what you need to do. Change your cell phone over to business plan, they will report to Duns, if its not verizon. Get you a lease from Dell, CDW or someone that will report.

Get you a business call forwarding number or voicemail from att, they will report also.

You need 6 references to get good business credit.

Now you are supposed to get a sheet where you can fax to duns with your creditors.

You have to establish your business credit by finding the right creditors. The best creditors will give you credit on a signature with no social security number check and they will report you to Dunn & Bradstreet. You have to spend over $60 in one billing cycle to be reported. There are plenty of them out there. The trick is to know where to look. I have written an e-book all about the process of starting corporate credit as well as where to go and how to give the creditor what they want so they give you what you want.

You used to be able to get your Dunns Number for free but now they make you buy the credit builder program for $329. The crazy thing is that they do not provide any vendors. You have to get them yourself and then they hustle you with credit builder plus where you can put in 5 vendors but you have to do it within 30 days. For this they charge another $270! How cool is that... if you are Dunn & Bradstreet?
