What are the best places for a savings account?

Hello all, Toady there are different options available for one to save his funds and money and as the rates are so lucrative there is just so much complexity in deciding a good bank or a CU to open a savings account. What are your preferences on this?

One has to see all the types of plans that the banks/CU have to offer and then only the decision to select one can be taken in a good way. My cousin has his savings account with Alaska USA FCU and is happy with the rates they offer and their service. I am opting to open an account myself with them which will be a premium Savings account.
