There are two sources for student loans -- the federal government and private lenders. In order to obtain most federal student loans, you will first need to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). In most instances the FAFSA is required for all federal financial aid including federal student loans.

student grants out there to help fund

I want to put my children in a private religious school and was told there are student grants out there to help fund the costs. I've tried researching it, but haven’t found anything that deals with private school or religious school funding. Also, haven’t found anywhere that doesn’t want to charge you just to find out the details of the grants. Where can I search for accurate and free grant applying services?
