Is property cheap where you live.

I am from Maniboa originally, and out there, you could by a house for 40 grand, that same house would cost 100+ in Montreal or Toronto.

Wow, 40 thousand is incredibly cheap. Depends on where the house is, like if its near the ocean or a stadium, and of course the size. The townhouse I live in was about 100 grand, but its of decent size. I do love small houses though.

Well....now a days land rates are very costly .The high cost is a problem to the customer .Even the middle class persons cant afford to purchase the land The government of respective country should do something to eradicate this problem.

40,000 ??!?!? That is amazingly cheap. There is no way you could even buy a shack for that here in New Jersey. Our neighbor just sold their house - 875 square feet (which is tiny!) - 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, kitchen, living room - for $317,000. That is standard around here.

My house just appraised at 350,000! My brother just bought a new home for 450,000!! I thought that was insane when i heard how much he paid! The prices near me just keep going up and up and communities are popping left and right. I'm sure it will all catch up soon.

Not even remotely.

Our house is worth probably double what we paid for it six years ago. Upgrading is impossible for us right now.

Wow. I knew I wasn't exactly in a high rent district but I didn't realize how not high. I have a well maintained 100 plus year old brick house of about 1800 square feet that's appraised at $80,000 and I think that's over priced. Before buying this I looked at a similarly priced one, almost twice as big and with out buildings. It had a new high end kitchen, the other rooms needed work and I thought it was too pricey. Fifteen miles down the road, however, you get into a resort area where you can't touch anything for less that $225,000.

A single lot in my area is worth over $100k with nothing on it. We definitely bought at the right time.

It is amazing how high things have gotten. I live in New Jersey - which is the most densely populated state in the the US and is basically a bedroom community for NYC and Philadelphia. My father's house (about 1400 sq feet - 4 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths - nothing fancy) was just appraised for $625,000. I will never be able to buy a home in NJ. Maybe I'll move to Maniboa Canada
