Site to compare recent selling prices?

I'm trying to find a website that gives you recent home sales and prices, does anyone have that information? Trying to get an idea of what we should ask for our home before getting a realtor's perspective and also what to offer on the homes we're looking at.

Go online and check out your county assessor’s website. This is the same website you would visit to see how much is due on your property tax. Anyways, you can check recent sales in your area and the site will tell you what the property actually sold for.

I use www.realtor.com to see what similar homes are listed for.

Ring a real estate agent in the area. They will give you recent historical data.
